F.A.Q's

MAY I PLAY IN ALL CITIES (DALLAS, HOUSTON, AND CENTRAL TEXAS)?

Yes.  1 Membership, 3 markets to choose from.   Your membership covers all I-Tour events no matter the location.

AM I COMPETING AGAINST EVERYONE FROM 0-16 HANDICAPPERS?

NO The Individaul Golf Tour will once again be a 2 flight tour golf tour for the 2024 season.  Central Texas will continue to have one flight.

IS CENTRAL TEXAS A SINGLE FLIGHT TOUR (0-16 HANDICAPPERS)?

YES.  The Central Texas Tour will be increasing their handicaps.  All cities will have 0-16 handicap, single flight events for 2024.

MAY I JOIN THE I-TOUR AT ANY TIME DURING THE SEASON?

Yes you can. Membership Fee will stay the same.  Note, If you have never played on the I-Tour before, you may not win 1st  Place in your first  event.  This means the best you can do is 2nd place in your first event.  Beginning your second event, you are eligible to win everything.  We do this to protect our established I-Tour members.  In addition, our Mini-Majors and our 2-Day Championships require a minimum number of events to win 1st place that are listed in the event details..

WHAT DOES THE TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE INCLUDE?

The tournament entry fees already include all cost (course fee, range balls, cart, & prize fund). It has always been this way on the I-Tour. You can choose optional (Skins, Deuces, Back 9, or No Putt) when you check-in the day of the tournament.  Visit Tour Format for more information.

CAN I JOIN THE I-TOUR WITHOUT ANY HANDICAP INFORMATION?

Yes you can, but you will not be eligible to win anything.  Players who send in their paid membership application without any handicap information are still I-Tour Members. Yet, they WILL NOT be able to win any cash prizes until this information has been received by the I-Tour Staff.

CAN I PAY IN ADVANCE FOR TOURNAMENTS?

Yes you may. The I-Tour has a process of allowing players to pay in advance for any number of tour events through our online entry process. There is a deadline for online entry. If Tour players want to register after the event deadline they will be put on the tournament waiting list.

WILL CASH AWARDS BE GIVEN THE DAY OF THE EVENT?

Yes, checks and cash will be distributed the day of the events for all prizes. When players register early, this allows the I-Tour to financially run smoothly.  We have paid out over $3.1 Million dollars since 2002 and all payments have been same say.

IS THIS A WALKING OR A CART TOUR? MAY I BRING A CADDIE?

The I-Tour is a Golf Cart Tour and your entry fee includes your 1/2 cart.....Caddie's will NOT BE allowed!

CAN MY WIFE, GIRLFRIEND, FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER COME RIDE AND WATCH ME PLAY?

Yes, but you are responsible for renting them a golf cart.  The I-Tour does not arrange or pay for extra golf carts.  This is an ongoing issue for players because the golf courses normally do not have additional carts to rent out.  Please have a plan B prepared when you show up at the golf course with your wife, girlfriend, or family member.

WHY IS MY BEGINNING HANDICAP LOWER THAN I EXPECTED?

Your Beginning Handicap calculation may be subject to adjustments by the I-Tour Handicap Chairman. Please contact the I-Tour at [email protected] for questions about your handicap.

I HAVE A 23.8 HANDICAP.  CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE IN THE I-TOUR?

Yes you can, the I-Tour will not use your full handicap, it will be shortened to our 16.0 maximum. If you have a +36 handicap you CAN PLAY, you will just play with our maximum allowed handicap of 16.0

I THINK I LOST MY PUTTER IN THE LAST I-TOUR EVENT.  CAN THE I-TOUR HELP ME FIND IT?

The I-Tour is not responsible for any lost equipment during our I-Tour events. All participants are asked to keep up with their belongings. The I-Tour is also not responsible for any issues that are health related.

WHAT DOES PARTICIPATING IN THE I-TOUR DO TO MY USGA AMATEUR STATUS?

The USGA is very clear on its stance of Amateur status. Please visit their website at www.usga.org or call their district office. You may waive all cash payouts and accept gift certificates no more than $750 total per event.

HOW DOES THE I-TOUR ADDRESS SLOW PLAY?

After 19 years of competitive golf tournament coordination and hosting over 500 cash events…We have concluded that each group simply needs to abide by one rule….”Keep up with the group ahead of you”.

SLOW PLAY LAW - 22 MINUTES

We do not normally ride the course and beg you to speed up, use USGA pace of play rules, allotted time per hole rules, or on the clock rules.  We will simply enforce our official SLOW PLAY LAW:

* Any Group that is more than 22-minutes behind the group in front of

you after 18-holes, your entire 4-some will receive a 2-stroke penalty.

***No Appeals*** will be reviewed on a case by case basis

only in the scoring area after the completion of the round

and prior to the return of a player’s scorecard.  Please

note that consideration will be giving for the following:

-Your group plays in 4 hours in 30 minutes or less (you will not be penalized)

-If there is a 3-some ahead of your 4-some (you may get additional time)

-Your group is a mixed group of flights or tees (5 additional minutes)

-Your Golf Cart breaks down or the course is Cart Path Only (Extra Time Given)
